POSITION SUMMARY: 

The Waste Water Lead of waste water treatment, bi-products shipment and storm water prevention, as well as research and development of cost efficient standards for the department.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned

  1. Be able to Operate and maintain Waste water process to meet DEP compliance requirements.
  2. Oversee Operators and Maintenance within the department including training, developing and motivating them to achieve their maximum quality and productivity performance in their respective positions.
  3. Manage daily sampling protocol on Phosphorus, TSS, BOD, Etc… to satisfy regulatory reporting compliance.
  4. Compile wastewater, and storm water prevention reports, inspections and records
  5. Complete Discharge Monitoring Report for the plant on a daily basis.
  6. Implement goals and objectives, monitoring and explain any variances.
  7. Maintain the equipment within the wastewater department; directing maintenance and Operators
  8. Monitor water usage and waste, optimizing sampling protocols and water reuse efforts, keeping management informed and assisting with improvements
  9. Able to be a certified fork-lift operator.
  10. Assist other departments in the areas of water reuse, quality, and continuous improvement projects and quantity reductions.
  11. Work with other departments and assist in the administration of the Environmental Audits, as well as the Operational Excellence Program within the complex.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Observe and enforce all company personnel, quality, safety, and food safety policies.
  • Possess, or willing to obtain within one year, a pre-treatment wastewater operator’s license.
  • Fork-lift certification or willing to obtain within one year.
  • Considerable skill in communicating and working effectively with fellow team members and management team.
  • Good organizational and prioritization skills required.
  • Computer experience in Microsoft programs required.
  • Considerable skills and experience in leading and developing people.
