Description
At Pilgrim’s, Safety Is A Condition, which means the safety of our team members comes first - always.
Transport poultry products in packaged form to and from (as necessary) specified destinations, such as restaurants, storage facilities, etc.
Drives truck to destination, applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations and roads in area. Maintain truck log according to state and federal regulations. May maintain telephone or radio contact with supervisor to receive delivery instructions. Inspect truck equipment and supplies, such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, water, etc. May perform emergency roadside repairs, such as changing tires, installing light bulbs, fuses, tire chains, and spark plugs.
Seeking flexible candidate for touch and no touch freight hauling to include store door delivery and overnight long hauling.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Verifies load against shipping papers.
Use required PPE and follow all safety guidelines of the Company.
Rotate product in customer storage coolers.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Class A CDL required.
Must be able to operate a manual CMV.
