Responsibilities:

  • Enforce safety and sanitation regulations
  • Direct and coordinate the activities of employees engaged in the operations of beef products, such as inspectors and meat cutters.
  • Read and analyze charts, work orders, production schedules, and other records and reports to determine production requirements and to evaluate current production estimates and outputs.
  • Confer with superintendents to coordinate operations and activities within or between departments.
  • Plan and establish work schedules, assignments and production sequences to meet production goals.
  • Inspect materials, products or equipment to detect defects or malfunctions.
  • Demonstrate equipment operations, work and safety procedures to new employees or assign employees to experienced workers for training.
  • Confer with management or subordinates to resolve worker problems, complaints or grievances.
  • Interpret specifications, blueprints, job orders and company policies and procedures for workers.

Qualifications:

  • 7-10 years of experience in the beef industry and ability to communicate in English effectively both written and verbally.
  • Knowledge of all aspects of operations
  • Excellent conflict resolution skills
  • Management experience in meat packing industry
  • Computer knowledge required.
  • Excellent organizational skills

The applicant who fills this position will be eligible for the following compensation and benefits:

  • Benefits: Vision, Medical, and Dental coverage begin after 60 days of employment;
  • Paid Time off: sick leave, vacation and 6 company observed holidays;
  • 401(k): eligible after the 1st day of employment including company match which begins after the first year of service and follows the company vesting schedule
  • Base salary range of $101,601 - $137,162
  • This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s annual bonus plan; the amount of bonus varies and is subject to the standard terms and conditions of the incentive program;
