Principle Responsibilities:

  • Lead, support and direct the Maintenance execution activities in Greeley Value Added Facility supporting plant operations, plant utilities including Ammonia Refrigeration and maintenance training program.
  • Oversee the success of the facilities Preventative Maintenance program through guidance and follow through.
  • Responsible for the leadership, management, and development of 4 Maintenance Supervisors and Maintenance Training Supervisor.
  • Develop the department through recruitment and team member development on fundamental engineering principles, with utilization of maintenance training program.
  • Align with Corporate Engineering to ensure standardization and best practice sharing of engineering processes.
  • Partner with all functional departments (Operations, Procurement, QA and Shipping) to accomplish departmental KPI’s
  • Lead the department with technical leadership and facilitation of Root Cause Analysis, Focused Improvement and FMEA (Failure Modes Effects Analysis)
  • Lead in the development of Start Up planning with department to identify all additional labor requirements, scrap produced and start up inefficiencies.
  • Support the team in the new projects development and participate in execution with proper technical documentation, training, spare parts lists.
  • Partner with EHS (Environmental Health and Safety) on safety and ergonomic requirements to all equipment and layouts
  • Communicate effectively both internally and externally within JBS and with vendor.
  • May perform other duties as required.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Minimum 10 years of progressively more responsible positions within industrial maintenance field and minimum five (5) years within a food processing industry
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Extensive background in ammonia refrigeration, air compressor technology, variable frequency motor controls, maintenance of sanitary conditions. Job responsibilities typically require extended hours.
  • PSM experience preferred
  • Must be able to demonstrate effective people skills
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency with basic office software (word and excel)
  • Supervisory skills – maintenance management through whom both direct and indirect people report, project administrative assistant and planners.
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or five (5) additional years of applicable experience.

The applicant who fills this position will be eligible for the following compensation and benefits:

  • Benefits: Vision, Medical, and Dental coverage begin after 60 days of employment;
  • Paid Time Off: sick leave, vacation, and 6 company observed holidays;
  • 401(k): company match begins after the first year of service and follows the company vesting schedule;
  • Base salary range of $90,000.00-$130,000.00 or other agreed upon salary range; and
  • This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s annual bonus plan, the amount of bonus varies and is subject to the standard terms and conditions of the incentive program;
