1st Shift QA Supervisor (Resume Required)
Principle Responsibilities:
Principle Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and supervise pre-operation examination, when applicable. Examine and verify cleanliness and sanitation of equipment and facilities
- Complete paperwork daily, including payroll, mail, inspections, etc.
- Resolve problems and issues with product and employees as they arise
- Communicate frequently with USDA inspectors regarding product, employees, safety, etc.
- Establish and maintain shelf-life requirements, finished product specifications, leaker testing, formulation weights, temperatures, and other necessary standards
- Direct, motivate, and monitor QA employees. Conduct interviews and new hire employees; evaluate performance of current employees
- Coordinate and participates in product displays for tours and other events
- Ensure compliance to HACCP plan for all products
- Monitor and ensure proper procedures, safety, and cleanliness of production employees
- Test new equipment for quality aspects
- Perform various other duties as needed
- Conduct sampling of finished product and raw material for bacteria
- Ensure completion of all duties of QA
Working Conditions: Work 40+ hours per week in production area. Exposed to all hazards present, including slippery floors, machinery, noise extreme temperatures variations, etc.
Requirements:
Education: Minimum Bachelor’s degree; science related field preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience: Extensive knowledge and technical skill in a variety of QA and production jobs, and in supervisory positions
Special Skills:
- Knowledge of multiple languages helpful. Computer and organizational skills
- Ability to make quick, informed decisions. Knowledge of anatomy and microbiology
- Supervisory and interpersonal skills; ability to handle conflict
Relationships
Internal: Frequent communication with all levels of employees and management concerning all issues relating to quality of product
External: Regular communication with USDA inspectors. Occasional communication with customers, suppliers, laboratories
