ASSISTANT FABRICATION OPERATIONS MANAGER
Description
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Enforce safety and sanitation regulations
- Direct and coordinate the activities of employees engaged in the operations of beef products, such as inspectors and meat cutters.
- Read and analyze charts, work orders, production schedules, and other records and reports to determine production requirements and to evaluate current production estimates and outputs.
- Confer with superintendents to coordinate operations and activities within or between departments.
- Plan and establish work schedules, assignments and production sequences to meet production goals.
- Inspect materials, products or equipment to detect defects or malfunctions.
- Demonstrate equipment operations, work and safety procedures to new employees or assign employees to experienced workers for training.
- Confer with management or subordinates to resolve worker problems, complaints or grievances.
- Interpret specifications, blueprints, job orders and company policies and procedures for workers.
- Other Duties, as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in the beef industry and ability to communicate in English effectively both written and verbally.
- Knowledge of all aspects of operations
- Excellent conflict resolution skills
- Management experience in meat packing industry
- Computer knowledge required
- Excellent organizational skills
