Associate Brand Manager

We are seeking a motivated and high-achieving Associate Brand Manager candidate to join the dynamic Marketing team at Jackson Family Wines working on a collection of wineries based in Sonoma County, California; France, Italy and Australia. The Associate Brand Manager position is an important leadership role that partners with the Brand manager to develop and execute the business and marketing strategies for a collection of wineries.

Essential Job Functions: 

  • Partner with Brand Manager to develop long-term and annual business and marketing plan
  • Analyze business and provide actionable insights as to what is driving performance.  Make recommendations based on analysis.
  • Manage components of the P&L: Marketing budget, sales forecast, COGs
  • General understanding of global markets
  • Develop and define brand projects and manage through completion
  • Partner with Sales to develop effective trade tools to drive distribution and velocity
  • Lead creative development and execution of packaging and consumer/trade materials
  • Track, analyze and report on monthly business results
  • Partner with winemaking to develop and launch new products
  • Lead cross-functional teams
  • Identify and recommend business-building initiatives to senior management
  • Coach and develop team members

Background Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, marketing, finance or related; 
  • 4-6 years of CPG or Beverage Brand Management or consulting experience
  • Strong and consistent track record of driving business results
  • Previous P&L management experience
  • Project management and development experience
  • Strategic Planning knowledge
  • Track record of creative program development and execution
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively lead and build team relationships
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with executional excellence
  • Advanced understanding of various pricing strategies across multiple markets and channels
  • Digital and Social Networking competence
  • Ability to create, identify and leverage consumer insights (IRI, internal sales, demographics, consumer attitudes, usage)
  • Strong PC skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
