Senior Linux Systems Administrator

Reporting to the Manager of NetOps, you will be working with a highly experienced team of engineers working on both long term projects and day to day tasks. As one of the technical leads for the team, you will be expected to manage your own projects, communicate effectively and also be a technical resource for others in the team. You will be an empowered Engineer that will help drive the direction of technical solutions and ultimately the product.

Job Duties: 
Monitoring of KeepItSafe infrastructure and initial diagnostics and troubleshooting of issues
Manage VMware Environment, VM allocation, storage management, provide upgrade roadmaps
Linux Systems Management and Monitoring
Provide secondary coverage of backup products
Work with customer support team to facilitate client requests
Deploy new server and storage infrastructure.
Assist with acquisitions   

Required Experience:
7+ years of experience managing a production server environment
VMware 4 and 5.5
Linux / Centos 6 and 7
Windows Server 2012, 2008 and Hyper-V
General TCP/IP proficiency and networking troubleshooting skills
Storage Management, RAID, SAN
Datacenter Infrastructure
Additional Skills
Experience with backups software Asigra, Ahsay, Veeam, AppAssure / Rapid Recovery
Devops Tools Puppet / Docker or similar
Demonstrated project management skills and the ability to work in an agile environment
Experience writing scripts to perform various automations. python or similar
Experience with Next Generation Firewalls and  Managed Switches
Information Technology Degree or comparable experience
Personal Skills
Excellent interpersonal skills and being an effective communicator, able to deal with people at all levels, both within and outside the business.
Ability to work in isolation at weekends and during infrastructure deployments. Need to be flexible as working hours could include weekends / evening times.
Ability to work with a remote team, and independently on project tasks.
