Job Summary:

The Sr. Oracle EBS Analyst will be a member of j2 Global’s Enterprise Applications team, reporting to the Sr. Manager. As a member of this team, the Sr. Oracle Analyst will work closely with Finance to support their Oracle e-Business Suite development, analysis, and user support needs.

Expert level Functional skills are required. Some technical knowledge is preferred. Experience leading multiple global implementations of Oracle R12 is required. Expert level understanding of functionality of Oracle Service Contracts, Advanced Pricing, Collections and Financials is required. Experience working with users, understanding their needs and architecting solutions is a must. Troubleshoot issues with Service Contracts, GL, AP, FA, AR, CM, PO and OM. Experience with Web Services and interfacing with external systems is a plus. Good knowledge of interfaces, workflow, AME, and underlying tables required. Some expertise with development work, PLSQL, XML will be a plus.

 This position will support the Finance and Accounting teams from both a functionality and development perspective, and will assist those teams leveraging Oracle EBS more effectively.

Job Duties:

  • Act as the subject matter expert and provide in-depth systems expertise from a functional perspective as well as for new initiatives and projects.
  • Uncover client requirements via industry standard analysis techniques such as Data Flow Modelling, Case Analysis, Workflow Analysis etc.
  • Experience with Scrum and Agile methodology is a plus.
  • Apply business process analysis and vision to achieve the company’s Finance objectives through EBS.
  • Work with end users and hosting vendor to resolve day to day Production issues.
  • Gather requirements, analyze and create MD50 and MD 70 documents for new projects.
  • Work with Technical resource to build the concurrent process.
  • Testing and help users in conducting UAT.
  • Should be able juggle multiple priorities and work in a dynamic environment.
  • Work and manage projects with Offshore team.  

Job Requirements and Experience:

 
  • Over 10 years’ experience with Oracle EBS with expertise in functional analysis in more than one module including Service Contracts, GL, AP, FA, AR, CM, PO and OM.
  • Work in similar capacity with at least 2-3 global implementation life cycles.
  • 5+ years experience with the Oracle Applications architecture. R12 knowledge is a must.
  • Experience with Web Services is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of Finance and Accounting principles and procedures preferred.
  • Experience working with the Oracle support opening SRs with Oracle, follow-up and issue resolution.
  • Experience in UNIX or Linux, as well as basic networking or connectivity is required.
  • Demonstrated ability to extract requirements from users who may not understand a systems development life cycle.
  • Create BRDs, define Project scope, Process flow diagrams and drive projects to completion.
  • Strong organizational skills are required to manage competing priorities.
  • Bachelor's degree in IT or Finance related program is preferred or equivalent years of direct experience required.
  • Good communication skills – both verbal and written.
