Job Summary:

Reporting to the President, Backup the Sales Director will lead and manage all sales operations for Backup North America.  The key objective of the position is to grow incremental and new sales for our cloud backup and recovery services, while reducing customer churn. This role requires a proven successful track record of building and managing all aspects of a sales support organization including lead management, account management, channel development, and business analytics. This position also works very closely with our Customer Support, Marketing, and Finance teams to ensure a world class delivery experience.  

Job Duties:

  • Lead day-to-day operations of pre-sales, sales, and account management for all of Brands (Brands: KeepItSafe®, Livedrive®, SugarSync®) North America.
  • Create, manage, train, communicate, and continuously improve all sales operations and account management processes.
  • Manage a team that currently includes sales engineers, inside, and outside sales members. This team will be expanding over time throughout North America.
  • Achieve overall sales objectives including: New revenue growth, organic revenue growth, lead conversion rate, and churn.
  • Drive additional revenue through cross sells and up sells to existing customers as well as to other j2 Global brands.
  • Create and analyze sales performance, pipeline, and other key metrics through Salesforce.com to enable business decisions and identify trends.
  • Oversee Salesforce data quality/integrity.
  • Drive daily accountability for reps regarding sales objectives and other metrics in the sales process.
  • Maintain a very close working relationship with Customer Support, Finance, and Marketing to achieve objectives.
  • Coach, mentor, develop, and measure the staff performance in support of overall sales growth and customer satisfaction.
  • Establish and maintain effective collaboration with the product team to provide customer feedback for new product enhancements.
  • Manage sales territories and lead management.

Job Requirements and Experience:

  • Minimum of 7+ years’ experience managing sales operations in a fast-paced, high performance team environment within SaaS business.
  • Proven experience with SME and Corporate recurring revenue models and backup / disaster recovery experience a plus.
  • Excellent project management and communication skills.
  • Track record of growing existing and new customer revenue.
  • Proven thought leadership, strategy making, and sales leadership experience.
  • Experience with both direct and in-direct channel sales.
  • Ability to build strong internal and customer-focused relationships and work seamlessly within a matrix managed environment.
  • Strong problem solving skills.
  • Proven track record of team building and development.
  • PC proficiency: Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Salesforce.
  • Firm grasp on metrics and report building.
  • Ability to understand technology and explain concepts, and/or solid experience in the industry.
