Senior UX Designer

Product Management Ottawa, Ontario



  • Create user-centered designs by considering market analysis, customer feedback, site metrics, and usability findings
  • Use business requirements and market research to assist in developing scenarios, use cases, and functional requirements
  • Design the UI architecture, interface, and interaction flow of applications and experiences
  • Develop conceptual diagrams, wireframes, visual mock-ups, UI walk-throughs and prototypes
  • Develop and maintain detailed user-interface specifications and design patterns
  • Present design work to the user experience team, product team, and executives for review and feedback
  • Deliver regular program updates as well as Sprint, Iteration and Release reviews.
  • Collate information from various stakeholders (both internal and external) and developing an overall solution vision.
  • Develop standardized approaches for implementations and templates for documentation.
  • Provide regular and useful updates to promote effective planning, understanding and engagement to ensure successful delivery.
  • Keep up-to-date on current technology and changes in the industry and how those changes could impact product delivery.
  • Always be looking out for ways to make our solutions more beneficial to our end-users, extend our presence or increase our business.


  • 4+ years of detailed system analysis experience including interpretation of marketing and business requirements and development of the related system design specifications.
  • 2+ years of experience as a user experience designer, interaction designer, information architect, or similar role.
  • Bachelor's degree or relevant designation.
  • Experience with designing end-user, web-based applications.  Ability to provide detailed specifications and optimized HTML and CSS prototypes for our Developers and Engineers to work from
  • Fluency in best practices for Information Architecture and Interaction Design
  • Must have a strong technical background sufficient to understand nuances and challenges faced by development teams.
  • A clean sense of design aesthetics and a natural propensity towards simplification over complication
  • The ability to quickly turn around rigorous wireframes and mock-ups in an interactive environment, including the creation of icons and other visual assets needed for implementation
  • High personal standards and desire to deliver the very best product.
  • Strong communication and organization skills are needed in order to successfully manage all project information and artifacts.
  • Working knowledge of creating HTML emails and with Email Marketing services is not required, but would be a strong asset.
