Everyday Health Consumer is seeking a Director, Lead Generation to join our dynamic sales organization.  Reporting to the SVP of Sales, you will have revenue responsibility and will help cultivate our lead generation approach in order to maximize sales revenue as well as promote future growth.   It is essential that the candidate has proven track record in digital lead generation. The successful candidate will be based in our Hudson Street (NYC) office and will have the opportunity to oversee all lead generation activity.

Responsibilities

  • Own a revenue goal. Achieve and over-achieve monthly, quarterly and annual budgets
  • Oversee all lead generation revenue activity across our account executives. Bonus structured primarily on individual sales results with an override on the team’s performance
  • Head up the business development effort without competing with your sales team. Manage lead gen account list and prospects
  • Open and maintain relationships with agencies dedicated to lead generation
  • Establish, maintain, and grow relationships with advertising partners in order to grow revenue across multiple lead gen product lines
  • Manage multiple priorities and ad products
  • Feedback on market demands and trends that effect revenue planning.
  • Manage upfront advertising commitments and plan for success at the account and brand level
  • Collaborate with marketing and client success management to ensure campaign and partner success
  • Stay on top of training the sales team in a dynamic and fast-moving market
  • Strong negotiating talents required to maintain and grow industry leading rates.
  • Create and deliver presentations to clients regarding proposed campaigns
  • Present results to internal account teams and clients, and suggest and implement ongoing ideas for improvement
  • Optimize and continue to develop Everyday Health’s lead gen account strategy

Requirements

  • BA/BS in Communications, Marketing, or related field.
  • 5 years minimum, digital lead generation experience
  • Proven success in consistently hitting goals
  • Superior negotiation and presentation skills
  • Excellent communication skills
