Description

Associate Director, Corporate Development (M&A) reports to the Vice President, Corporate Development, j2 Global® and works closely with the Presidents & Vice Presidents of our Cloud Services Divisions as well as the President & CFO. The Associate Director will be accountable for managing buy side M&A engagements and managing the M&A process, close and monitoring post-merger integration. Prepare and manage online data rooms, and manage internal departments of legal, engineering, HR, finance and other stakeholders with the due diligence process.

 

 

Job Duties:

 

  • Oversee due diligence process.
  • Monitor and coordinate transaction timelines, with increasing accountability for keeping projects on schedule.
  • Prepare management presentations and other meeting materials.
  • Review and summarize Confidential Information Memorandums from Venture Capital, Private Equity and Owners on the sell side.
  • Research global potential acquisition targets.
  • Work closely with Presidents’ & Vice Presidents of our Cloud Services Divisions to understand current and future growth opportunities. 
  • Within 2 years’ time manage M&A targets, valuations and deals. 


Job Requirements:

 

  • MBA or equivalent graduate degree in a financial discipline; OR Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 3 years’ experience in an investment banking analyst position or prior experience as an investment banking associate or in-house M&A with a global company.
  • Candidates must have exceptional analytic aptitude, creativity and excellent interpersonal and communication skills. 
  • Experience with financial modeling and valuation analyses.  
  • Highly organized, strong attention to detail, and ability to multi-task.
  • Proven ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
