The Senior QA Manager assures consistent high quality of production by developing and enforcing good automated practice as well as good manual systems and practices; validating processes; providing documentation; managing staff. 

Recommends changes in development, maintenance and systems standards to help improve quality and efficiency. Works closely with Product and Engineering teams to coordinate on requirements and expectations.

Job Duties:

Achieves QA operational objectives by contributing information and analysis to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing both manual and automated test plans; identifying and resolving problems; completing audits; determining system improvements; implementing change.

Develops QA plans by helping engineering to evaluate risk areas in product deployments; identifying critical control points and preventive measures; establishing critical limits, monitoring procedures, corrective actions, and verification procedures. Works hand’s on with the QA staff on the team to execute tests, troubleshoot issues, developing and maintaining test plans. 

Assists in investigating customer complaints; collaborating with other members of management to develop new product and engineering designs. Helps educate the team in automated testing procedures and software and develops good practices in executing and monitoring automated tests.

Prepares QA and reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends including failed processes. 

Updates job knowledge by studying trends in and developments in quality management; participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.

Enhances department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments. Works tightly with engineering on Agile teams to integrate QA into the development process and sprints.

Works closely with / managing the offshore QA staff (in addition to the local QA staff). Conduct periodic performance reviews of current staff. Help motivate staff to high performance levels.

 Job Requirements:

* Experience with automated testing tools is required.

* Selenium  with Java OR Python experience is required.

* Experience with online web test case writing and execution.  

* Knowledge of good practices with Mobile app testing.

* Excellent verbal and written communications skills required.

* Familiarity with “test driven development” (TDD) techniques is a plus.

* Familiarity with Continuous Integration is a plus.

* Jira and Qmetry experience is a plus.  

* Identify and recommend new features and applications to help with product improvements.

* Plan and implement usability tests throughout development lifecycle and analyze results.

* Participate in reviews of designs with Product and Engineering teams, stakeholders, and other involved parties.

* Perform periodic audits of proper system functionality for Internal Audit purposes.

* Must be able to perform in a dynamic fast paced multi-team environment.

* Self-managed, but be able to follow direction with a positive attitude.
