Responsibilities:

The 80:
• Manage Maintenance Department to maximize equipment uptime while minimizing costs
• Analyze key maintenance department areas of improvement with intention of developing and implement a structured and sustainable maintenance improvement plan to support Houston’s manufacturing operations.
• Develop and implement programs that reduce unplanned downtime and deliver predictive analytics on key equipment.
• Ensure highest levels of safety are in place within Maintenance department. Develop and maintain Job Hazard Analyses for routine maintenance procedures
• Develop and manage Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). Ensure CMMS system is utilized to drive planned maintenance, record unplanned maintenance activities while tracking key maintenance performance measures
• Develop procedures for routine maintenance tasks; utilize CMMS to document these processes
• Prepare annual budget and quarterly estimates for maintenance expenses. Manage maintenance expenses within budget
• Develop and oversee spare parts inventory program
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance program. Ensure all documentation is current and loaded into CMMS. Develop key performance indicators to track impact of maintenance department
• Work with Manufacturing Engineer to develop maintenance programs for all new and upgraded equipment
• Develop and implement safety process and procedures for maintenance department. Incorporate safety into maintenance processes
• Utilize ITW toolbox to analyze data and drive continuous improvement
 
The 20:
• Manage Maintenance Buyer and Maintenance Supervisor
• Assist in development of annual capital plan
• Manage small maintenance capital projects as needed

Key Deliverables to Demonstrate Success in 12 months:

1.Develop program to fully utilize CMMS to manage PMs, spare parts and to drive predictive analytics and KPIs
2.Reduced unplanned downtime due to mechanical or electrical failure
3.Documented procedures for routine maintenance procedures

Skills and Experience Needed:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology
• 7 – 10 years in an engineering role in an industrial manufacturing environment. Experience with complex control system and rotating equipment preferred
• 5 years’ experience as a maintenance manger
• Experience using computerized Maintenance Management System - Maintenance Connection preferred. Track record of successfully implementing CMMS preferred
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, SharePoint and Excel
