Summary of Position

IREX seeks a part-time intern to provide recruitment support for IREX’s New Business Development Unit (NBDU). The development team focuses on new business development and international recruitment for proposals for the US Government and bilateral donors; and works across IREX’s Practices (Leadership, Education, Youth, Information and Media, and Communities and Governance). Candidates should be available to work a minimum of 20 hours per week, though the schedule is flexible. An hourly stipend will be provided. This internship is open immediately.

Summary of Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Conduct candidate screening in-line with proposal requirements
  • Conduct recruitment-related research
  • Assist in preparing personnel documents for proposals
  • Assist with external communications with potential candidates as well as internal communications with the NBDU team
  • Draft job descriptions and post positions to company website and external job boards
  • Other duties as assigned

Skills and Qualifications:

The Intern must be well organized, skilled at handling multiple tasks, and able to adhere to deadlines. Other qualifications:

  • Must be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program
  • Must be detail oriented
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and handle numerous assignments simultaneously
  • Excellent writing and editing skills
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Excellent writing and editing skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Interest in international development field
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
  • Knowledge of US Government program funding preferred
  • Knowledge of a foreign language preferred
