Senior Java developer

We are looking for a Java developer who is ready to take part in the development and support of one of the central components of the IPONWEB technological ecosystem - an application server. The application server is used for the development of custom high-performance RTB systems, intended to process high amounts of real time server to server and user to server HTTP traffic (up to millions QPS in the biggest projects). The application server is based on Java stack but embeds JavaScript runtime which is used for the implementation of business logic in TypeScript. The application server provides a general framework for the development of RTB applications and is used by multiple development teams in the company for different projects. Performance, high availability and convenience of use by the developers are the main focuses for the team, which is working on the application server.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Development of the application server with the embedded javascript language support;
  • Design and implementation of the server APIs for RTB applications in both Java and JavaScript/TypeScript;
  • Writing functional and unit tests;
  • Support of internal users, who are implementing or operating RTB applications on top of the application servers;
  • Actively participating in knowledge sharing; Proposing technical and business logic improvements.
Role Requirements:
  • 4+ years experience in Java;
  • Solid background in multithreading development;
  • Solid Linux/Unix experience;
  • Version control (git);
  • Experience in JavaScript (TypeScript) is a plus;
  • Experience with containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) is a plus;
  • Good written English.
