Our turnkey design-build services provide customers with access to designer-curated style packages, superior materials and experienced vetted contractors. 

We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our fast-moving tech start-up in the remodeling/builder space using to develop cost estimates for home remodeling projects.

Job Overview:

In this position, you will be responsible for developing estimates for residential remodeling projects.  The ideal candidate will be very comfortable with numbers and will be very analytical. You will use both your practical estimating experience and our proprietary estimating tools and processes in the job.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Create detailed estimates for customers across various types of home remodeling projects (kitchens, bathrooms, basements, etc.)
  • Identify construction requirements for these projects via photos and measurements
  • Assess the labor and material costs required to complete those requirements across the various trades (cabinets, tile, flooring, countertops, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, paint, etc.)
  • Collaborate with project managers, designers and contractors to ensure estimate accuracy
  • Complete lookback analyses to compare previous estimates to actual costs and feed this information back into the estimating process
  • Contribute to overall team effort at Dwellify

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Experience in the construction and remodeling industry and with estimating projects
  • Minimum of 3 years estimating experience
  • Understanding of data analysis and estimation techniques and metrics
  • Comfortable with numbers and technology
  • Great attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
  • Well-organized and reliable
  • Highly detail and deadline oriented
  • Time management skills to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Eager to take on challenges and learn new skills

Educational Requirements:

  • High School diploma or G.E.D. equivalent. BS/BA in Construction Management or relevant field preferred
