We are looking for a Technical Marketing Engineer II to join our Technical Marketing team in Bangalore, India, reporting to the manager of Technical Marketing. In this role, you will create technical collateral, support the field with customer engagements and proofs of concept, test and evaluate competitive products, and conduct technical training. You will collaborate with Product Management, Product Marketing, and Engineering to ensure the continuous superiority of Infoblox technologies.   • Leverage your expertise in product engineering, product research/analysis, and proof of concepts to ensure the lab environment operates smoothly
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address technical challenges and optimize lab infrastructure
  • Troubleshoot and fine-tune performance in the virtual environment, primarily using VMWare technologies
  • Regularly monitor and manage vSphere/vCenter, vCloud Director, and NSX-T/NSX-V components
  • Administer Linux systems, particularly Ubuntu, ensuring stability, security, and efficient resource utilization
  • Handle system updates, patches, and user management
  • Use your scripting skills, including bash, Python, and PowerShell to automate routine tasks, and develop and maintain scripts for provisioning, monitoring, and maintenance
  • Maintain IP networking components, including configuration of IP tables, HA proxy, and VPN connections, monitoring network traffic, and troubleshooting connectivity issues
  • Collaborate with network engineers to ensure seamless communication between lab resources
  • Manage storage solutions, including NAS/Direct systems, such as Pure Storage, QNAP, FreeNAS, etc.
  • 5+ years of experience in a complex technical operations lab environment involving product engineering, product research/analysis, and proof of concepts
  • Proven technical troubleshooting and performance tuning experience in a virtual (VMWare) environment
  • 3+ years of experience with Linux/UNIX administration (Ubuntu)
  • Experience designing, planning, and executing VMWare products, including vSphere/vCenter, vCloud Director, NSX-T, and/or NSX-V
  • Solid Unix/Linux scripting skills, including bash, python, PowerShell on Linux/PowerCLI
  • Familiarity with IP networking, such as IP tables, HA proxy, vpn, tcp/udp, and https
  • Experience managing storage and NAS/Direct, including Pure Storage, QNAP, and FreeNAS
  • BA or MA in technology or marketing-related field, or equivalent work experience
  • Knowledge of vRealize Automation, vRealize Orchestrator, vCenter Operations Manager, and Tanzu
  • Experience with Hypervisors like KVM, Nutanix, and other hypervisor managers
  • Understanding of Network/Firewall administration, such as Cisco Nexus, pfSense/OPNsense, VRRP, STP, 1/10/40GbE, and TWINAX
  • Familiarity with physical lab infrastructure, including power requirements and rack deployment
  • Willingness to obtain certifications such as CCNA and VMware VCP, especially in NSX/NSX-T and Cloud Director
After six months, you will…
  • Navigate the lab environment confidently, troubleshoot issues, and identify areas for improvement
  • Be proficient in managing VMWare products, such as vSphere, vCenter, and NSX-T/NSX-V
  • Enhance your scripting skills further, automating routine tasks and creating efficient workflows
  • Deepen your knowledge of IP networking, including IP tables, HA proxy, and VPN configurations
  • Successfully manage storage solutions and address capacity planning, performance tuning, and data integrity
  • Ensure accurate and up-to-date documentation for future reference
  • Work toward certifications like CCNA and VMware VCP, especially in NSX/NSX-T and Cloud Director
After about a year, you will…
  • Gain a deeper understanding of the lab infrastructure, including its components, configurations, and interdependencies
  • Optimize virtual machine performance, resource allocation, and scalability
  • Develop custom scripts for provisioning, monitoring, and maintenance
  • Collaborate with network engineers to ensure seamless communication and secure data flow
  • Explore advanced storage technologies and best practices
  • Handle physical lab infrastructure, including rack deployment, power requirements, and iLO/iDrac management
  • Cultivate meticulous attention to detail when configuring systems, documenting changes, and maintaining records
  • Share your knowledge with junior team members, guiding them in lab best practices and troubleshooting
