Senior Specialist Software Engineer

The NICE CXone CCaaS Platform Storage team is responsible for the Lifecycle Management of the NICE CXone Storage infrastructure which handles millions of interactions per day and is comprised of both AWS based serverless services and legacy disk-based solutions. Internal consumers of our NICE CXone CCaaS solution rely on Storage for storing, retrying interactions and for compliance purposes. Our team is responsible for defining and maintaining the AWS Storage infra, SANs disk based solution and our test and deployment pipelines written in Jenkins.


This is a great opportunity to be part of the Storage team that works on a wide range of tech stacks to support legacy applications and our newly built AWS based solution.


During a typical workday, an engineer on the Platform Storage team could expect to:


  • Coordinate with Architect to understand and release high quality Platform Architecture
  • Analyses information, solves problems and reaches conclusions within his/her professional space
  • Responsible for delivering  feature(s) for enterprise-grade software independently
  • Regarded as a professional that requires minimal supervision
  • Develop a RESTful API solution built on the AWS API Gateway written with and using lambda best practices
  • Work with CloudFormation templates to extend and refine our AWS infrastructure
  • Maintain and support SANs disk based solution
  • Define Cloudwatch logs, alarms, legacy application logs, troubleshoot them and fix issues in a defined release cadence
  • Integrating with multiple internal products to provide seamless CXone CCaaS offerings
  • Manage IAM permissions and work with DevOps to maintain “least privilege” 
  • Develop and refine Jenkins CI/CD pipelines to deploy code, run acceptance tests, and monitor environment health
  • Effectively collaborate with cross geographical team and willing to stretch at times
  • Effectively collaborate with TS/TAM/NOC to address queries and concerns
  • Mentor junior team members
  • Defines Development  Standards, processes and  specific technologies/ languages
  • Contributes to High Level design of feature / product solutions.
  • Research, POC and contributes to Tech. Selection
  • Effectively manages complexity and change in professional domain
  • Able to make sound and quick technical decisions in a dynamic, complex and challenging environment

To Land This Gig You'll Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or equivalent
  • 12+ year of experience in software development
  • Experience in one or more of the following software languages: Java, NodeJS & Angular 8 (must)
    • Full Stack developer
    • Open to learn new tech stack as need be
  • Familiarity with AWS technologies
  • Experience designing, developing, deploying and supporting RESTful APIs
  • Experience troubleshooting multi-threaded applications, mining through logs to determine patterns to identify potential issues and fix them
  • Experience with developing services, clients and multi-threaded software
  • Experience developing with SQL Server or equivalent
  • Experience with DevOps tools and processes
    • Jenkins, Git, Docker
    • Scripting: Unix, Shell, Groovy, Python
    • Sonarqube
  • Working knowledge of unit testing and test automation (mocha-chai, Scala etc.)
  • Working knowledge of user stories and use cases
  • Working knowledge of object-oriented software design and design patterns
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment


Bonus Experience:

  • AWS / Azure Services domain knowledge
  • Define performance standards and benchmark
  • Experience working in a CI/CD Environment
  • Experience with automation/testing tools
  • Experience(s) as a technical or team lead or equivalent experience
  • Experience with telecommunications/telephony
