Director Cloud Infrastructure

The Director Cloud Infrastructure defines the architecture of the public and private cloud infrastructure in use across the Nice inContact platform supporting the Nice inContact suite of high-availability cloud offerings.  This position architects, manages, defines, and clearly communicates the processes and architectural standards for the Nice inContact platform.  The Director Cloud Infrastructure will frequently coordinate with R&D and various Architecture and Engineering teams across the organization to ensure standards are resilient and supportable.  This position ensures Nice inContact maintains its competitive edge by architecting, refreshing, testing, and implementing the best technology at the right time to support our 99.999% uptime & platform availability objectives.

  1. Provide technical and project leadership regarding architecture of NICE inContact's platform.  Steer the company toward the correct technology at the correct time.   Set the vision and direction for infrastructure. 
  2. Provide insight into technical designs to ensure solutions developed are consistent with strategic business plans. 
  3. Strategize and plan for future, imminent growth across all levels of the shared NICE inContact infrastructure to include SAN, IP network, systems, and public cloud compute and storage needs.   
  4. Provide leadership to individuals on team(s) through coaching, feedback, development goals, and performance management. 
  5. Prioritize, assign and manage department activities and projects in accordance with the Operations department's goals and objectives. Adjust hours of work, priorities and staff assignments to ensure efficient operation, based on workload.       
  6. Responsible for recruiting, hiring, coaching and discipline for the department. 
  7. Provide leadership, guidance and mentoring to team individuals. Assess performance, maximize productivity and promote teamwork. 
  8. Set priorities and shift priorities of team as needed to accommodate opportunities as dictated by upper management
  9. Develop training programs and provide growth paths. Foster positive employee relations. 
  10. Develop and foster a team atmosphere that exhibits teamwork within the department and with other departments. 
  11. Develop and manage to a plan that promotes a sense of urgency throughout the team when working on projects or tasks with other departments and with our external customers. 
  12. Develop and promote an environment where the department lives and breathes our company's core values. 
  13. Effectively communicate with other departments to determine system requirements, develop a plan and effectively execute the plan of the technical support projects. 
  14. Design and document the implementation process of the production service environment. The major systems include Windows, Solaris, UNIX and LINUX operating environments. 
  15. Follow the company Code of Ethics and inContact policies and procedures at all times. 
  16. Communicate in an effective and professional way with customers in and outside of Nice inContact. 

 To Land This Gig You'll Need:

  • 12+ years experience working with network planning including SAN, network, systems etc.   
  • 5+ years of management experience having had worked with systems, network and operations personnel as direct reports.   
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills.
  • Prepared to consult with and update C-level executives on team projects
  • Ability to meet and set short term and long-term objectives for self and assigned team.
  • Ability to adapt to changing conditions and plans with well-reasoned decisions and minimal supervision.
  • High degree of computer literacy, fluent with Microsoft Office products
