Background Information:
Innovative Defense Technologies (IDT), provider of automated software testing, data analysis, and cybersecurity solutions for complex, mission-critical systems in the US Department of Defense (DOD), is seeking a Document Control & Security Support Specialist to be based at our headquarters in Arlington, VA.
Overview:
The Document Control & Security Support Specialist will provide a visible professional presence for visitors and employees, be responsible for the smooth functioning of classified and unclassified office operations, primarily including document control. This individual will assist in classified receipt and dispatch, classified accountability process, unclassified and classified visitor process, and provide administrative security support to the IDT facility headquarters. The ideal candidate must have a professional demeanor and previous experience providing a high level of administrative support in a security operations capacity. This is a fully on-site role in Arlington, VA.
All applicants must currently possess an active U.S. Security Clearance.

Responsibilities Include:
  • Responsible for the Classified document control and accountability process of all classified holdings, specific to Security Information Management System (SIMS)
  • Control officer for the Classified Receipt and Dispatch process related to SIMS software  
  • Collaborate with operations support admin for all classified and unclassified meetings and demonstrations hosted by IDT facility
  • Responsible for the management of all classified visitor access requests for IDT employees and incoming visitors utilizing the government system of record
  • Manage IDT employee badge process and access control
  • Manages the visitor badge process, related to issuance, access control, and visitor database
  • Support to other IDT facilities for badge printing and access control
  • Assist with visitor escorting in the classified areas
  • Approve and mange master calendar for all classified meetings or demos
  • Ability to perform detailed work consistently, accurately, and under pressure
  • Conduct security briefings and debriefings as needed
  • First line support for employees related to security administrative functions
  • Conduct package inspections before release to IDT employee or lab use
  • Other duties as assigned as related to classified security operations and compliance
Minimum Required Qualifications:
  • Associate degree or equivalent
  • 2+ years of related security experience
Required Skills:
  • SIMS software knowledge
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with NBIS/DISS and NISS
  • Previous experience in a security role (Program Security, FSO, AFSO)
  • Quick learner for software applications (Access control portals)
  • Working knowledge of security manuals, directives, and Executive Orders (32 CFR 117, NISPOM, DoD Manuals 5205.07 Vol 1-4)
