Role Mission: Talent Recruiters are charged with attracting top instructional talent to IDEA Public Schools. They are engaging and enthusiastic ambassadors of IDEA, representing IDEA through external communication, hosting and attending events, and partnering with regional organizations. They rely on data analysis to drive their work in partnership with the regional staffing team to ensure that every instructional vacancy at IDEA is filled with a high-quality candidate.

 

Location: This is a full-time position based in the Rio Grande Valley with preference given to candidates who live in the RGV, or who are willing to relocate.

 

What You’ll Do – Accountabilities

 

In this role you will:

 

  •        Represent IDEA at career fairs and other events to attract large groups of talent to IDEA. 
  •        Leverage social media and other mechanisms for communication to attract and engage prospects.  
  •        Strategically engage in individual outreach to ensure that top prospects become applicants.  
  •        Hold events including meet and greets, coffee shop hours, school tours, etc. 
  •        Leverage Jobvite to track and monitor prospects and ensure that they convert to applicants. 
  •        Engage in at least 4 external events each month. 
  •        Hold at least 15 1:1 meetings each month with strong prospects.  
  •        Create and maintain a calendar of recruitment events. 
  •        Leverage other staffing team members as well as other stakeholders to attend events.  
  • Aggressively monitor applicant pools for each content area to ensure that there is a enough strong candidates to fill vacancies and adjust actions accordingly.  
  • Steward quality prospects forward in the IDEA screening process 
  • Partner with the regional staffing team to identify trends and adjust approaches to recruitment accordingly.  
  • Identify top sources of talent and increase recruitment efforts within these pipelines.  
  • Support regional staffing team throughout the screening and hiring process
  •        Track and monitor all prospects regularly in Jobvite CRM
  •        Regularly update and add notes on prospect in Jobvite CRM
  •        Attend and host content-specific recruitment events
  •        Strategically engage in prospect meetings for individuals who qualify for high needs roles
  •        Track high-quality prospects to ensure quick conversion
  •        Increase regular touch-points with prospects in high needs roles
  •        Create meaningful partnerships with local organizations and schools that yield content-specific candidates
  •        Head hunt key prospects through Indeed, LinkedIn, TFA Beta Connect and other job boards
  • Track and monitor all prospects regularly in Jobvite CRM
  • Regularly update and add notes on prospect in Jobvite CRM
  • Strategically engage in prospect meetings for individuals who are high-quality
  • Attend regional tactical to understand hiring needs of region
  • Track high-quality prospects to ensure movement throughout entire screening process
  • Increase regular touch-points with prospects who are high quality even after application is received
    • Partner with Talent Partners to set individual campus goals. 
  •        Monitor overall progress for the region and communicate updates to the Regional Staffing Team. 
  •        Work with the marketing team to create marketing materials for internal referrals.  
  •        Develop incentives to drive internal referrals.  
  •        Follow up on internal referrals to ensure that they convert to applicants.

Knowledge and Skills:

    Microsoft Office 

 

Required Experience:

    Education: Bachelor’s Degree required, experience accepted in lieu of degree

    Experience: 2+ years’ experience in recruitment, grassroots organizing, outreach, and/or campaign management

 

Physical Requirements:

·           Must be able to sit for extended periods of time without being able to leave the work area.

·           Must be able to climb ladders or scaffolding, or climb and work in overhead areas

·           Must be able to work in a confined space or to crawl or move about on hands and knees.

·           Must be able to lift and carry or otherwise move 10 pounds (regularly/occasionally)

·           Physical ability to work around small children including sitting, standing, running and climbing stairs.

·           Must be able to lift and carry small children up to 40 pounds in case of emergency.

 

What We Offer


Compensation & Benefits: Salaries for people entering this role typically fall between $59,800 and $69,100, commensurate with relevant experience and qualifications and in alignment with internal equity. This role is also eligible for performance pay based on organizational performance and goal attainment
