Supply Chain Manager
Point Load Power is creating cost-effective photovoltaic solar power solutions, enabling business owners to generate power at the point of use. Specifically through our PV Booster tracker and Heliopoint software, we maximize the energy output and economics of PV assets. We use innovative mechanical, electrical, and algorithmic designs to maximize the sun’s energy for commercial and industrial markets.
The Supply Chain Manager position will build and coordinate a robust supply chain for Point Load Power’s build-to-print hardware for its solar tracking products. The position will also own and drive planning and on-time procurement of hardware to support commercial orders, create a quality management system, and optimize the cost of goods sold (COGS).
Key Position Accountabilities:
Build a Supply Chain – Identify, evaluate, and contract a supply chain of global suppliers.
Procure Hardware – Plan and procure hardware to support on-time delivery of commercial orders.
Manage Quality – Build and monitor a quality management system to ensure quality delivery of hardware.
Optimize COGS – Optimize the cost of hardware directly by using long term supply agreements and indirectly by driving design for manufacturing (DFM) improvements with the engineering team.
Lead – As the organization scales up, lead a team of quality engineers and supplier development engineers to accomplish group goals. Initially, this position will be directly and solely responsible for these tasks.
BS degree or higher in related field with a minimum of 6 years work experience in a similar role.
Experience working with a global supply chain of vendors supplying hardware in high volumes (greater than 50,000 unit per year).
Experience with organizational quality management systems including quality policy documents, production control plans, supplier evaluation and auditing, inspection plans and reports, etc.
Experience with product lifecycle management software (PLM), quality management system software (QMS), enterprise resource planning software (ERP), and MS Project or equivalent schedule tracking software.
National and International travel to support sourcing as required.

Strong communication, organizational, and leadership ability.
Experience with DFM and a variety of manufacturing processes (i.e. injection molding, die casting, powder metal sintering, machining, stamping, roll forming, extruding, PCB & PCBA, general final assembly).
