We’re looking for an experienced  Accounts Assistant to join our NZAU Finance team based at our Auckland office in Ponsonby. 

Reporting to the Regional Finance Manager, you’ll be responsible contributing to Icebreaker’s financial sustainability by providing finance administration support  to the regional team so they achieve their wholesale, retail and eCom revenue and profit. This includes administration of the Accounts Payable & Receivable process, banking and assisting with the delivery of month end reporting to drive effective decision making  and other finance administration as assigned.

To be successful in this role you’ll have the following skills and experience: 

  • Equivalent of 2 years’ experience in Accounting
  • Relevant Finance/Accounting tertiary qualification, could be studying towards becoming formal accounting qualification
  • Great time-management and prioritizing skills and experience delivering to strict deadlines
  • Outstanding customer service standards
  • Exceptional relationship management skills
  • Strong problem solving capability and skill
  • Excellent communication skills - must be able to explain financial principles to people with no accounting background.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to adapt well to changing business requirements
  • Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
  • Strong MS Office skills, especially Excel
