You’ll love being able to see a well laid plan come to fruition.  Matching seasonal strategic and financial plans of over 10,000 wholesale retailers in North America to a firm order of products to fulfil their sales targets spins your wheels.

You may currently be a Demand Planner, a Buyer or a Trader and are looking for a chance to make a difference.   Reporting to the Regional Inventory Manager (RIM) – North America based in Vancouver, this role will work with our North America wholesale sales leaders to ensure alignment between the markets in region and works with the rest of the Regional Inventory team to ensure the right product is available, in the right quantities, to achieve targets for revenue, gross margin and closing stock.

Your past life:

  • Equivalent of 4-5 years of relevant buying experience, preferably with 2-3 years in Planning
  • A proven track record in buying in the apparel industry, preferably in the active/outdoor apparel industry
  • Experience and a deep understanding of what it takes to effectively plan, buy and manage inventory in a high growth model
  • Experience supporting the generation of profitable growth in retail and/or eCom
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and appetite to learn new systems
  • Experience with mid-tier ERP system, preferably Microsoft Dynamics AX

Stuff you can do:

  • Manage a Supply Plan for North America Wholesale customers
  • Create reporting that provides up-to-date information on inventory position and demand variances
  • Determine inventory shortages and excesses to align with revenue targets
  • Work with the Wholesale sales teams to provide support on inventory clearance strategies
  • Align with the Product team on future seasons and identify any potential inventory positions that might impact product line direction
  • Show a high level of commercial acumen and proven track record of effective qualitative and quantitative judgement and decision making
  • Understand retail levers & tactics: sell through, turnover, traffic, conversion, basket size
  • Manage ambiguity and thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressured creative environment
