We’re looking for an experienced BI Specialist to join our Global Finance & Business Intelligence team based in our Auckland Office in Ponsonby, this role will report to Global Head of Reporting & Analytics. You’ll be responsible for requirements gathering, development, implementation, maintenance and support of Icebreaker’s reports, ensuring they are in alignment with the business requirements.

Your past life:

  • Equivalent of 3+ years’ experience in delivering reporting requirements
  • 2+ years’ experience with Microsoft SQL Server in relation to reporting (SSIS, SSAS, SSRS)
  • Experience in working with a data warehouse
  • Working experience with a BI tool (e.g. MicroStrategy, SAS, Cognos, Business Objects, SharePoint)
  • Proven track record in delivering successful reporting solutions
  • Ability to document and articulate business requirements and solutions verbally and through process flows and diagrams to both technical and none technical people
  • Understanding of retail & products

Tools in your belt:

  • Ability to produce commercial and technical specification reports to meet business requirements and needs
  • Able to design and develop reports, dashboards that accurately leverage Icebreaker’s BI framework to agreed timelines
  • Ensure the efficient day-to-day support of the BI environment ensuring that system availability and response times meet agreed targets
  • Proven ability to facilitate and manage small groups of cross functional members for discussion and decision making
  • Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to deal with multiple stakeholders
  • Proven analytical skills to properly evaluate and interpret cross-functional data standardization requirements
  • Love of all things data, with an inquisitive and questioning mind
