We are looking for someone who will love the challenge of embedding rigour, discipline and is able to make some firm decisions.  The result being alignment on how we simply and succinctly report on the key metrics and insights that will enable our leaders to make smart choices about short, mid and long term tactics.

This role will be a key part of the Global Finance & BI team based in Auckland, New Zealand. You will be responsible for Data Warehouse maintenance and development, as well as other data feeds. The role will report to our newly appointed Global Head of Reporting & Analytics, he will be one great boss. You will be currently a developer who is working at a senior level in the Business Intelligence/ Data Warehouse space. We are seeking a self-starter and evangelist for Business Intelligence solutions and their practical use in a business setting. You need to be commercial savvy as well as have a love for data development, you know who you are

 Your past/present life:

  • Minimum 5 years of proven experience in delivering reporting requirements
  • Solid experience of Data Warehouse analysis and successful delivery of Data warehouse/BI projects.
  • 3+ years’ experience with Microsoft SQL Server in relation to reporting (SSIS, SSAS, SSRS)
  • Strong understanding of Sql Server databases or other relevant relational DBMS
  • Strong experience of dimensional modelling (preferably Kimball) and the Data Warehouse development lifecycle.  
  • Ability to document and articulate business requirements and solutions verbally and through process flows and diagrams to both technical and none technical people
  • Ideally you will be in a product/retail/ecommerce industry

 What will you be doing all day?

  • Design, build, test and support data warehouse
  • Provide technical guidance to the larger team
  • Promote collaboration both within the team and across the wider group
  • Problem solving

 Tools in your belt:

  • Exceptional project management skills
  • Excellent writing skills, ability to produce well-structured documentation and deliverables
  • Proven analytical skills to properly evaluate and interpret cross-functional data standardization requirements
  • Love of all things data, with an inquisitive and questioning mind
