Chemical Incident Preparedness & Response Expert (Contingent)

Description

HWC is looking for  consultants with expertise in chemical incident preparedness and response to joint our team on a Federal government contract. You will help our customers work with communities to Identify:  
  • Chemical-related risks / vulnerabilities;
  • Current response capabilities and resources;
  • Gaps in those capabilities that limit timely and effective responses;
  • Solutions for reducing capability and resource gaps. 
  
Candidates must have:  
  • 5-10 years’ experience working at the state and local level specifically on chemical incident prevention, preparedness, and response;
  • Experience working with emergency response activities / agencies such as law enforcement, fire, EMS, hazmat, task forces, public health, poison centers, hospitals, medical professionals, clinics, state homeland security agencies, local government, national guard, CDC, FEMA, FBI, DoD, or DHS;
  • Training / instruction or exercise experience;
  • Clean criminal and financial/credit record enabling a successful U.S. government Public Trust background investigation.
  
Desired qualifications include:  
  • Bachelor’s degree;
  • Working knowledge of the Homeland Security Exercise and Evaluation Program (HSEEP).
