QuantOne is one of the major initiatives for Hutchin Hill.  Formed in 2016 after the consolidation of most of the firm’s quant groups, our mandate is to enable the next generation of quant strategies.  We are a close knit group and are looking for others that want to be part of a highly collaborative, entrepreneurial team that will drive Hutchin Hill’s growth over the next decade.

To succeed in this role you will bring your expertise in coding to solve challenging technical and analytical problems in getting trading models into production.  This will be enabled by working closely with our quants to design, develop and deploy new and existing models.  Additionally you will help to build the underlying platform and components to streamline the research process.


  • Work directly with quant researchers to bring new / enhanced trading strategies to production
  • Design and implement analytical and infrastructural software tools to further streamline the research to production pipeline.
  • Must have deep knowledge of modern data paradigms and the tools needed for architecture, design and management of very large and/or distributed data sets, and the ability and aptitude for applying these tools in a financial setting.
  • This role also requires familiarity with statistical and machine learning techniques, as well as the ability to develop production-quality code that supports these techniques.


  • Minimum three years' demonstrated experience implementing quantitative strategies.
  • For non-finance candidates, 3+ years in pattern recognition, signal processing, scientific computing or a similar field will be considered.
  • Must have experience that includes managing large data sets and complex software systems, preferably in a Linux environment, that are depended upon by multiple users.
  • Significant experience with Python, C/C++, q/Kdb+ or similar languages.



  • An advanced degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, statistics, the natural sciences, or other technical disciplines.
  • Will consider Bachelors candidates with significant experience.
