Position at Vista Products

The Finance Analyst will ensure that credit policies of the cooperative are adhered to; credit goals are achieved; and accurate business records and sound bookkeeping procedures are maintained. The F/A’s responsibilities involve the credit policy, debt collection, account reconciliation, reporting, and other duties as assigned by the Controller. The Finance Analyst will maintain a positive attitude that promotes team work within the cooperative and a favorable image of the cooperative.

 Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  Credit Policy

  1. Enforce and uphold the credit policy.
  2. Make credit terms known to all employees and customers.
  3. Enforce credit collection procedures as outlined by the Controller.
  4. Do not extend credit to customers who have not been approved.
  5. Do not authorize customer charges that exceed set credit limits.

 Debt Collection

  1. Actively work to recover debts owed to the Vista Products.
  2. Review accounts receivable daily.
  3. Pursue collection of accounts previously written off, where and when possible.

 Reconciliation

  1. Reconcile Dealer, payments, invoices, credits and offsets, as needed.
  2. Reconcile Lowe’s payments, invoices, credits and offsets, as needed.
  3. Assist in Reconciliation of Lowe’s chargebacks.

 Reporting

  1. Update the Controller on the status of accounts.
  2. Furnish a list of problem accounts and their status to the Controller each month.
  3. Analyze aging of accounts and review them with the Controller monthly.
  4. Other duties as assigned.
Required Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Business field preferred.
  • Experience in Accounting, Credit, Collections, and/or Accounts Receivables.
Qualifications/Skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong Excel and Reconciliation skills
  • Good judgment, and problem-solving skills

Supervisory Responsibilities:  This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
