We are looking for a talented Web Designer to create amazing desktop- and mobile-user experiences. The ideal candidate should have an eye for clean and artful web design, and be able to work within existing brand guidelines. Superior UI/UX skills that are current with the latest web design and development trends required. Mobile-first design experience a plus.

 Successful candidates will be able to translate high-level requirements into interaction flows and artifacts. And they will be able to transform them into beautiful, intuitive and functional designs.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Execute all visual-design stages from concept to final hand-off to engineering
  • Conceptualize original site design ideas that bring simplicity and user friendliness to complex roadblocks
  • Create wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows and site maps to communicate interaction and design ideas
  • Present and defend designs and key deliverables to peers and executive-level stakeholders
  • Convert created designs into HTML and CSS within front-end frameworks (Angular, React, Vue, etc.)
  • Adhere to agreed-upon delivery schedules
  • Effectively communicate and work closely with internal clients and team members throughout all stages of design
  • Establish and promote design guidelines, best practices and standards
  • Spearhead continued research on web design trends, tools and standards, the capabilities of browsers and devices, and their design constraints on the web, graphic optimization, usability factors and navigation standards

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s in Human-Computer Interaction, Interaction Design or a related subject
  • Two years of professional experience and demonstrable ability in implementing visual strategies and designing responsive as well as mobile-first user interfaces
  • Solid experience in creating wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows and site maps
  • Excellent visual design skills with a sensitivity to user experience
  • Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator or other visual design and wire-framing tool
  • Proficiency in HTML and CSS
  • Experience with JavaScript/front-end frameworks a plus
  • Good understanding of content management systems
  • Good understanding of search engine optimization (SEO) principles
  • Knowledge of content marketing a plus
  • Experience working in an agile development process
  • Ability to solve problems creatively and effectively
  • Up-to-date with the latest Web trends, techniques and technologies
  • Ability to work with a variety of individuals and present creative, fresh ideas
  • Strong communication and team-playing skills
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
