Levolor continues to offer great blinds and shades solutions in a wide variety of vertical, aluminum and wood blinds; cellular and woven wood shades; and sheer vertical window treatments. Levolor has recently expanded its product offering to include beautiful
 decorative drapery hardware, distributed nationally through home centers and other retailers. 

About the Role: 

Levolor is looking for a social media manager and copywriter who will own and manage the voice of the brand within all of its marketing communications, especially social media. This role identifies, develops and delivers messaging to internal and external audiences in both traditional and digital channels. This role is part of the internal Marketing Communications department/agency, who is responsible for bringing the brand to life through the development and production of all product, trade and training communication and commercialization efforts.

Social media manager/copywriter is a passionate individual who works well in a supportive creative environment. The environment is also sometimes high-tempo but respectful of work/life balance. This person has excellent written and verbal communication skills, a passion for social media, a positive attitude, and a strong work ethic.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead the strategy, planning, execution, and ongoing optimization of LEVOLOR’S social presence on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest and YouTube. Specific responsibilities:
    • Drive social media strategy that drives brand awareness and engagement as well as promote product launches
    • Schedule, post, manage content on all platforms as well as respond/engage with fans
    • Deliver analytics reports and share with various levels of organization
    • Understand and manage the bidding and optimization process of paid social and audience segmentation
  • Reviews and edits all language given by product and trade teams into audience friendly copy. Must be adept at negotiating with internal stakeholders/clients to execute key deliverables with exceptional quality and proficient speed.
  • Proofread and ensure all messaging is error-free, on target and consistent with the organization's objectives and vision
  • Strong communicator and copywriter able to distill business initiatives and competitive advantages into well-articulated communications that stress benefits over features.
  • Act as a liaison who coordinates across departments to source and craft content into a cohesive story that is delivered across all social channels
  • Develop deep understanding and ownership of brand voice and knowledge


Qualifications:

  • Has a bachelor’s degree in Journalism, English, Communications or a related field or equivalent experience. Marketing experience is a big plus!
  • Possess a strong command of the English language and the ability to proof your work
  • 3-5 years of experience writing and developing social media campaigns with a proven track record of results (please provide links to profiles as example)
  • Exhibits strong personal initiative and exerts independence to take full ownership of role.
