Position Overview: 

The Leader - Supply Chain is responsible for working with the manufacturing plants to ensure plant execution around NPD and capacity to support forecast. Responsibilities include total accountability for NPD material and capacity planning as well as projecting monthly shipments for the custom categories through the S&OP process. Additional responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

 

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Assist manufacturing plants around issues related to forecast and quality
  • Track and measure plant performance metrics
  • Provide Leadership around NPD activities on the materials side of the business
  • Provide leadership and communication to cross-functional team including Manufacturing, Quality, OPEX, Engineering and Marketing on project needs to hit timelines
  • Implement Supply Chain policies and procedures at manufacturing facilities.
  • Assist in Supply Chain projects such as inventory reduction, service improvement, cycle count accuracy improvement and productivity at manufacturing facility in Mexico and Ogden
  • Understand supply chain models in order to analyze current supply chain and make recommendations for improvement
  • Lead resolution in day to day issues that require assistance from sourcing, R&D and marketing
  • Accountability for total supply chain performance in the custom business
  • Analyze and provide data as needed for strategic decisions
  • Provide daily communication to Leadership around issues and plant performance

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations, Supply Chain, or related field
  • Minimum of 4 years experience in materials management, or production planning, in a manufacturing environment, or a high SKU, global vendor base environment
  • Experience with Project Management
  • SAP experience desirable
  • CPIM certification desirable
  • Proven track record of results in a fast-changing environment - execution oriented and always delivers
  • Solid PC/software skills systems knowledge required; Excellent Excel skills; MRP experience preferred
  • Strong analytical skills - must be numbers driven
  • Possess the technical skills to communicate with manufacturing facilities and corporate functions
  • Effectively prioritizes multiple demands and heavy workload
  • Flexible, pro-active and results-oriented
  • Ability to work independently and lead cross-functional teams necessary
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Understanding of  New Product Development measures  - on time, on cost, on spec
  • Understanding of Sales and Operations Planning process
