The Maintenance group at Hunter Douglas is an exciting team to join. You will get the opportunity to learn about a variety of equipment and because our process for developing textiles is so unique, much of the equipment is proprietary and built in house. Coordinating multiple schedules, planning preventative maintenance, ensuring efficient use of resources, and utilizing our newly upgraded SAP system (SAP-Plant Maintenance Module) are responsibilities our Planner/Schedulers manage on a regular basis.
What you have:
a high school diploma or equivalent. Associate degree or higher in machinery, auto mechanics, or equipment is highly desirable. 3-5 years previous work experience as a planner/scheduler or project manager. SAP-Plant Maintenance Module or similar CMMS system.
What you do:
Maintains work order request system for customers to request maintenance support. Tracks scheduled work orders, labor hours, and parts required. Develops and maintains preventative
Develops and maintains their knowledge of the function and maintenance required of all business function process equipment.
Using the SAP-Plant Maintenance
Develops solid working relationships with cross-functional groups in order to facilitate scheduling of all maintenance tasks, operations projects, and engineering projects, with the business function’s operation planners.
Ensures parts required for
Reviews maintenance technicians scheduled work order data for accuracy and consistency and to ensure they are correctly inputting work order data into the SAP-Plant Maintenance Module. Ensures that BOM information provided by engineering is maintained in SAP-Plant Maintenance Module.
Creates and generates reports from SAP-Plant Maintenance Module data as requested.
Administers all department new hire training and testing. Ensures all documentation related to training and career progression is in order and meets ISO specifications. Meets with internal and external ISO auditors during audits to ensure compliance with ISO specifications.
Submits purchase requests for outside services and parts associated with these services. Schedules these outside services and ensures that they coordinate with operations needs. Procures all department safety related items and distributes them to proper buildings and business functions.
Attends production Tier meetings with representatives of other departments to coordinate work schedules.
Basic knowledge of mechanical principles.
Basic knowledge of maintenance functions.
Solid knowledge of the purpose and work performed by equipment maintenance department employees.
Solid knowledge of computer use and software packages such as Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Solid knowledge of planning and scheduling functions.
Solid knowledge of business function equipment
Expert knowledge of customer service skills to deal effectively with representatives of other departments within the company in person, electronically through email, and on the telephone.
Ability to develop functions for all processing equipment.
Ability to develop
Ability to work on several projects at the same time; strong project management, organization and time management skills.
