Job Summary
The Alumni Events Coordinator is a full-time role based in London that will work in close coordination with the wider Alumni Relations team to develop and rollout events tailored towards the needs of recent graduates (0-3 years post-graduation) and the broader alumni community, both undergraduate and postgraduate. He/she will be responsible for continuous monitoring of satisfaction across a portfolio of graduating classes from different programs and ensure we are delivering tailored experiences (networking, virtual and in person events, and lifelong learning) that meet their needs.
The role will require an in depth understanding of the alumni journey, close coordination across stakeholders (careers, academics, student services, etc.) and campuses (Boston, London, San Francisco and Dubai), targeted outreach to prospective speakers in the alumni community, academic and external circles.
This role will report into the Head of Alumni Experience & Communities, responsible for setting and implementing strategy for the Alumni Community, and partner as a team with the Alumni Community Impact Manager and Alumni Communications Officer.
 
Responsibilities
  • Establish programming (events on- and offline) in coordination with key stakeholders targeting the needs of diverse alumni segments as it relates to networking, careers, and lifelong learning.
  • Plan and execute alumni events, in line with the strategic priorities of the Alumni Relations team.
  • Collaborate closely with Enrollment teams and Alumni Chapters in strategic locations on and off campus, to design high impact events.
  • Coordinate with the Alumni Community Impact Manager and Alumni Communications Officer, to align on engaging different groups of alumni (including the Young Alumni community and undergraduate alumni) and implementing effective promotion of events.
  • Source speakers for alumni learning events, virtual speaker series and other career and networking oriented events.
  • Based on the alumni response, tailor and continuously innovate the alumni events and programs portfolio.
  • Roll out the Class Reunion concept and work with alumni of different graduation years to coordinate class reunions on campus and off-campus locations.
  • Establish and achieve a set of KPIs in delivering alumni events programming.
 
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree; Master’s Degree desirable.
  • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • Experience using CRM (Salesforce would be a plus).
  • Experience in project management as it relates to event planning and logistics.
  • Outstanding communication and listening skills.
  • Strong design and presentation skills (desirable).
  • Aptitude for working in a diverse, multi-cultural and global organization.
