Senior Industrial Designer

The Industrial Design team is seeking a talented and passionate Senior Industrial Designer to work on our next-generation suite of hardware and related accessories. This designer will be responsible for developing concepts, physical prototypes and final CAD.  This position requires the ability to work collaboratively with other designers, ergonomists, engineers and program managers in an iterative fashion, across time zones.  A viable candidate must demonstrate their ability to deliver first-class design solutions that reflect an understanding of the end user’s needs, while balancing the underlying complexity or constraints.

 

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design
  • 5-10 years of professional experience
  • Strong expertise in parametric 3D modelling and large assembly management
  • Compelling 3D renderings (KeyShot)
  • Strong presentation skills using 2D software (Adobe CS)
  • Excellent sketching and prototyping ability

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience designing consumer electronics
  • Proven ability to prepare production ready data and documentation
  • Fluency in fundamental design process and principals
  • The ability to think abstractly, work autonomously and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills: visual, verbal and written
  • Deep understanding of manufacturing processes and industry standards
  • Familiarity with anthropometrics and applied ergonomics
  • Proven teamwork ability
  • Demonstrated drive and confidence
  • Ability to travel internationally
