Sr. Enterprise Software Administrator


Reports To: VP of MRB Operations


Job Overview:  Support, troubleshoot, document, and maintain cloud or on-premise enterprise software applications (e.g., ERP) in support of business objectives. Work across IT teams to ensure the environment is fully utilizing available technology to enhance productivity and improve work processes. Create and present end-user training programs, and work with employees to create custom reports to better utilize system information. Maintain user accounts and permissions, and regularly audit account permissions to minimize vulnerabilities. Review software update release notes, ensure compatibility, communicate feature changes to employees, and schedule updates to the system.



Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Database administrator – primarily Microsoft SQL Server but also MySQL.
  • Microsoft Access developer – modify our ERP system which is an Access front-end to a SQL Server back-end.
  • Microsoft Excel developer – create and maintain spreadsheets that pull information from our SQL Server databases.
  • Integration – create and maintain integrations between our systems and other platforms including Salesforce, NetSuite, Avalara, FedEx, UPS, Magento, WordPress, and Stripe.
  • Tier 2 helpdesk – handle second-level help desk tickets.

Secondary responsibilities:

  • .NET developer – produce and maintain a variety of utility programs in C# and VB.
  • Java developer – maintain programs written in Java.
  • Faxcom administrator – configure, monitor and manage our internal fax server.
  • Magento administrator – configure and monitor our ecommerce sites.
  • WordPress administrator – configure and monitor our customer portal site.
  • GoDaddy administrator – manage DNS settings for domains including redbooksolutions.com, redbookconnect.com, bettermanagers.com and redbookwrite.com.
  • GitHub administrator – manage our GitHub repositories.

Nice to have:

  • Ability to serve as backup for the systems administrator in performing any or all of the following responsibilities: 
    • VMware administrator – create, monitor and maintain physical hosts and virtual machines.
    • SAN administrator – manage our SANs.
    • System administrator – Active Directory changes, network changes, computer and printer configuration.
  • MS Certifications: MCSD, MCSE, MOS, ect, also a plus.

Qualifications:

  • Education level: BS in Computer Science or a related Major, and/or 5 years of experience in similar job description.
  • Experience: Experience working in a small IT environment where the ability to wear multiple hats is at times a necessity.
