Position at Hill+Knowlton Strategies

Hill+Knowlton Strategies’ New York office has a need for fellow to support our Corporate Affairs team starting June 2019.  Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Conducting in-depth research and compiling detailed information about industry events and activities in support of presentation deliverables to C-level executives 
  • Developing media monitoring reports and compiling media analysis using tools such as Brandwatch, Cision and Factiva
  • Actively participating in team, staff, and client meetings, proactively seeking and sharing relevant information when appropriate
  • Working with supervisors to establish and track career goals, training and skill-building needs
  • Assisting team members with additional assignments as needed
  • Interfacing with potential client contacts, vendors and internal teams with oversight 

Desired Skills:

  • Excellent communication, organizational and writing skills – clear and concise writing required
  • Detail-oriented, with strong social media and research skills
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a dynamic, creative and fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work well with others and independently as needed
  • Positive attitude with a proactive approach
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office – particularly with Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Inquisitive and curious – able to identify and pursue potential leads for more open-ended strategic projects 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism or related field
  • Strong writing and research skills
  • Social media savvy
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline oriented environment
  • Collaborative multi-tasker with a positive, can-do attitude
  • Desire for career in PR
  • Ability to work in the United State without Sponsorship or Visa* 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with basic PR software programs such as Brandwatch/Cision
  • Previous PR internship or relevant leadership role at college/university
