The award-winning H+K Strategies Dallas office is looking for a Senior Associate to join the Corporate Affairs team. This is a unique opportunity to perform proactive media relations, client management, internal communications, executive positioning and more on behalf of a diverse roster of globally influential clients.

Day to day:

  • Working with internal teams and client contacts, executing initiatives, ensuring client satisfaction and anticipating needs and potential issues as they arise
  • Creating and editing written materials to ensure high quality and precision
  • Providing proactive recommendations to the client based on analyzing and researching media monitoring reports
  • Formulating account strategy and developing key messages
  • Contributing creativity, passion and expertise to an entrepreneurial team environment where everyone’s voice is heard, highly valued and rewarded

  • Undergraduate degree
  • 3-6 years of full-time communications/PR experience (agency experience preferred)
  • Media relations expertise with a track record of success building and maintaining relationships with key journalists
  • Experience with media monitoring using tools such as Cision and/or Vocus
  • Superb writing and editing skills with a keen eye for detail
  • Account management experience with the ability to build trust with client contacts and ensure client satisfaction
  • Corporate communications experience including but not limited to: internal communications, executive positioning, message development and media strategy
  • Strong communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Articulate, poised, quick on your feet; ability to work in a fast-paced environment that is client facing
  • Equally comfortable working as a team or being self-sufficient
  • Strong proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Strong understanding of social media trends and analytics
  • Energetic problem solver with a positive attitude and passion for delivering exceptional client work
