Sr. Proposal Writer

HighPoint Digital, Inc. is seeking a Sr. Proposal Writer for the Proposal Development Group to join our outstanding Business Development / Growth organization. This person will support our Federal Civilian (FedCiv) and Federal Health (FedHealth) Divisions. You will report to the Proposal Director and be responsible for supporting proposal writing in concert with our business development executives, operations program managers and solution architects.

You will lead writing efforts for Request for Information/Request for Proposal (RFX) responses, support storyboard/mockup development during the pre-proposal phase, write compelling technical proposal responses and support post-submittal activities. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be deadline-oriented
  • Must possess strong skills in: Presentation, Written Communication, Graphic Design, Technical Documentation, Template Creation and Layout, Coordination and Problem Solving and strong knowledge of services and technology supported
  • Ability to organize and prioritize multiple work assignments, work with little or no supervision and works well under pressure
  • Ability to interview technical SMEs and produce written content
  • Must possess a thorough knowledge of the federal acquisition process, FAR, and RFP sections and appendices
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal and interviewing skills when working with SMEs and technical leads
  • Working knowledge of SharePoint administration and production processes highly desirable
  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft applications
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, also editing/proofing, research and analytical skills

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide RFX coordination, management and writing support to increase FedCiv and FedHealth’s capacity to prosecute RFXs  
  • Develop pre-proposal storyboards, mockups, and other proposal artifacts (i.e., schedules, capability matrices, question templates, data calls, etc.) in collaboration with capture leads, solution architects, and proposal managers 
  • Provide proposal writing throughout the opportunity lifecycle in support of solution architects, subject matter experts (SMEs) and other proposal volume needs that clearly highlights HighPoint’s value proposition and discriminators and provides customers a clear and defensible justification for selecting HighPoint for award
  • Act as a “proposal architect” by collaborating with proposal managers and solution architects to develop compliant proposal templates that support compelling technical and management solutions
  • Support FedCiv and FedHealth Divisions’ growth process improvement assisting with designing, developing, prototyping, and implementing new processes, tools, and capabilities that support all growth operations 
  • Provide proposal storyboard, mockup and writing training for new solution architects and program support staff 
  • Assist with improving the quality of proposals by analyzing customer proposal evaluations and internal survey results to incorporate best practices, lessons learned and process improvements to our growth lifecycle 
  • Work in concert with Business Development, Operations Management, and enterprise-wide technical resources to engage with HighPoint programs and educate them about the opportunity lifecycle and the proposal development process 
  • Manage the Knowledge Management system, boilerplate, and templates
  • Support BD/Marketing material creation, past performance write-ups, video, orals, and presentations

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in English, Literature, or a related writing discipline 
  • 5+ years of professional writing experience in Federal Sales, Business Development, Strategic Capture, Proposal Management and/or direct customer/program support
