Multimedia Specialist

The role of Multimedia Specialist is to design and lead the creation of core instructional video, scenario‑based learning, and microlearning assets features, ensuring high‑quality, innovative, and consistent design execution.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design core features of instructional video, scenario‑based learning, and microlearning assets.
- Specify innovative game and role-play mechanics, storylines, and character biographies.
- Create and maintain design documentation.
- Guide and collaborate with production staff to produce games as designed.
- Consult and collaborate with cross-team partners to recommend appropriate design solutions and best practices for design quality, user-experience, innovation, styles and standards, and creative advancement.
- Review and constructively critique creative materials for design consistency, high quality, styles and standards, readability, and organization.
- Possesses and applies a comprehensive knowledge across key tasks and high impact assignments.
- Plans and leads major technology assignments.
- Evaluates performance results and recommends major changes affecting short-term project growth and success. Functions as a technical expert across multiple project assignments.
- Produces CMS‑approved training videos and multimedia for QSEP and CMS YouTube.
- Ensures accessibility (captioning, transcripts, WCAG/508 compliance).
- May supervise others.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to organize and prioritize workload based on deadlines and promptly communicate assistive needs.
- The drive to accomplish the overall goals of the Media Development team and training organization.
- Ability to provide clear, timely, and appropriate communication regarding concerns, opportunities, and potential project risks to manager and appropriate parties..
- Have strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to identify design constraints and creative opportunities at the product level and recommend appropriate solutions.
EDUCATION AND YEARS OF EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in graphic design or related field
- 8+ years of experience.
