JOB REQUIREMENTS:

High school diploma or GED required with 1-2 years of experience in activities and/or recreational programs preferred. Direct experience working with adult populations and/or geriatric clients preferred. Outstanding customer service skills and demonstrated experience working as a part of a team required.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

  • We are seeking a Life Enrichment Assistant to provide support to our Life Enrichment Coordinator and lead activities for residents at the Directors Hall. This includes coordination and implementation of individual, groups and one-to-one recreational activities based on the identified needs, interests and personal preference of each resident. Under supervision this position monitors and documents resident's levels of participation and progress and reports any medical, social or behavioral change in residents' condition to nursing staff and the Life Enrichment Coordinator. This position follows the Best Friends Philosophy of person-centered care and orientation to activities with residents with Alzheimer's disease and related dementia.
  • Each position has varied hours but must have availability every other weekend 9:00 A.M.-3:30 P.M.
