Heritage Community of Kalamazoo has an exciting opportunity to provide leadership for our new Memory Care Learning Center (MCLC). The Director of the MCLC will be the primary advocate for memory care services and support at Heritage. 

The MCLC will serve the Alzheimer’s community of the greater Kalamazoo area which includes persons living with Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias, caregivers, family members, researchers, proposed partners and Heritage staff. This position also provides operational leadership of Amber Way and Amber Place which are highly regarded memory care communities of 20 and 17 residents on the Heritage campus.

Heritage Community of Kalamazoo, is the oldest and only locally owned and operated senior living community in Kalamazoo. Heritage is a not-for-profit organization with a mission to be the premier senior living provider of independent living, assisted living, memory care, skilled nursing, homecare and rehabilitation services.

We’re looking for a leader with strong critical thinking, research coordination and marketing skills who is passionate about supporting the memory care community. Strong leadership, staff engagement skills and a desire to build on a strong culture of caring for residents and staff is also a requirement.

A Bachelor’s degree in business or related discipline required.  An advanced degree, experience collaborating with researchers through experience or graduate level training, experience in healthcare, long term care and previous leadership experience are highly desirable.
