Position: Logistics Process Engineer
Location: South Africa - Woodmead
Duration: Permanent

The role:

In this role you will focus on process improvements, system, technology, and project support/management for all markets under Southern Africa which includes – Zambia, Namibia, Botswana, Lesotho, Swaziland, and South Africa.


Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for all inventory holding locations and inventory controllers,
  • Business support – technology and process:
  • System support LSP interface process,
  • Support on quicker turnaround on technical issues identified impacting member experience
  • Innovation – Bring in innovative ideas which will improve Herbalife’s business in terms of efficiency, quality, or Member experience,
  • Identify cost-reduction/process improvement opportunities,
  • Evaluate the use of technologies/new technologies rollout and support implementations,
  • Process improvement to drive member experience and support overall logistics service,
  • Develop tools to support internal logistics reporting to provide more visibility to the business,
  • Identify process bottlenecks and implement solutions in a timely manner,
  • Project management - Supporting management with new projects/potential new warehouses planned to open,
  • Develop maintain and share expertise on logistical technology and concepts. Monitor new developments and translate into new opportunities,
  • Train and support logistics team where needed on new process/implementations.


Minimum requirements for Skills/Education/Experience:

SKILLS:

  • Very good in communication with external parties as well as different internal levels
  • Self-starting, proactive, make-it-happen mentality, don’t give up before committed task is done, able to get things done from people,
  • Detail-oriented, customer-focused, and service-oriented with excellent communication skills
  • Strong analytic and problem-solving skills,
  • Capable of remaining patient and calm when dealing with frustrated distributors,
  • Excellent in relations building, works well with the team (external and internal),
  • Capable of remaining patient and calm when dealing with frustrated distributors,
  • Highly proficient in Excel.

 EDUCATION:

  • Excellent English language,
  • Matric qualification,
  • Bachelor’s degree Industrial Engineer or Related.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience from international company preferable,
  • Minimum 3 years in Supply Chain, Logistics, Vendor Management, Customer Service, and other related operations,
  • Experienced in 3rd Party/Vendor management,
  • Experience in the dynamic and flexible supply chain is a plus.
