SUMMARY:

Hachette Nashville, a division of Hachette Book Group, seeks a Digital Marketing Manager to join our collaborative and enthusiastic Integrated Marketing team. This role leads the division’s consumer digital initiatives and reports to the Vice President of Marketing.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Directs the strategic vision for Hachette Nashville’s digital and social media marketing with goals of delivering on sales expectations, growing audiences, driving traffic and engagement, and achieving overall marketing objectives
  • Plans and executes all web, SEO/SEM, database marketing, email, social media and display advertising
  • Designs, builds, and maintains Hachette Nashville’s social media presence
  • Develops and curates branded digital assets and content, including websites, eNewsletters, blog posts, shareable graphics, downloadable resources, and videos
  • Strategizes and runs social media advertising campaigns across social platforms
  • Analyzes key metrics to tweak strategies as needed and monitors effective benchmarks
  • Compiles reports to track and evaluate marketing and advertising campaign results and shares with management on goals (ROI and KPI’s)
  • Seeks out, tests, and incorporates new digital platforms and resources into Hachette Nashville’s marketing portfolio with the goal of innovating, solving problems, and improving management of resources
  • Manages and grows Hachette Nashville’s community across Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest and YouTube, engaging with and responding directly to readers and authors
  • Executes title-specific digital and social media marketing campaigns across all Hachette Nashville imprints: FaithWords, Worthy Books, Center Street, WorthyKids and Ellie Claire
  • Organizes annual digital promotions such as New Year/New You, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Graduation, Summer Reads, BTS, Halloween and Christmas
  • Actively participates in and leads internal meetings, as well as meetings with authors, agents, and sales
  • Assists in creation of presentations (i.e. PowerPoint, Canva, etc.) for internal meetings, including sales conferences, FOCUS meetings, and seasonal marketing meetings

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  • BS. degree in marketing or related field
  • 4 years’ experience in digital marketing with a demonstrated ability to innovate, manage high-profile initiatives, and deliver results
  • Proven working experience in digital marketing particularly within the industry
  • Proficient in marketing research, digital/statistical analytics, and social media tracking tools (including Google Analytics, Net Insight, Web Trends, etc.)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to work within a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Proactive problem solver who is collaborative, highly organized, self-motivated, goal-driven, and detail-oriented
  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud
  • Knowledge of video editing and animation programs (a plus)
  • Knowledge of HTML and CSS (a plus)
