Marketing Designer, Little, Brown
Little, Brown and Company is seeking a talented and energetic Designer to join its Marketing Creative Services team. In this role, you will help shape the visual campaigns that bring our books and authors to life across digital and physical platforms.
This individual will be responsible for the design of a wide range of marketing materials used in the promotion of our books and major author brands, including social media images, digital advertising, print collateral, and sales assets—supporting some of the most exciting books and author brands in publishing.
This position is ideal for a designer who thrives in a collaborative environment, enjoys balancing creativity with strategy, and can move quickly across multiple projects.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with the marketing operations executive director, as well as marketing teammates, to create and deliver high-quality materials and content, digital and physical.
- Understand and satisfy the balance of creating compelling, fresh design with the need to sell
- Be able to work quickly and while maintaining high standards for design and execution
- Work closely with the creative services Operations Manager on scheduling, meeting deadlines, and ensuring that all finished jobs are in the proper form to be delivered
- Ensure all jobs and visual assets are uploaded into proprietary database and archived appropriately
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
- Minimum 2–3 years professional experience in graphic design, preferably in book or magazine publishing or advertising and marketing
- Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator)
- Good communication skills, verbal and written
- Strong attention to time management, follow-up, and follow-through
- Creative problem-solving, with an ability to both take direction yet maintain intuition and push projects forward design-wise—to show us something new, yet effective
- Team-player—this is a collaborative position, and you will be working with a variety of inputs
- Rich media, video, and animation skills are a plus

The compensation for this position is $65,000–70,000. Salary can vary based on several factors including skills, experience, and location—talk with your recruiter to learn more. There may be times that you will be required (or requested) to work overtime due to the nature of your role or exceptional workload issues or special projects.
