Position Summary
The evening litigation paralegal will provide organizational and practice specific assistance to attorneys in the Litigation Department from onset of litigation cases through post-trial. 

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Prepares and reviews papers for service and electronic case filing.
  • E-files in state and Federal courts.
  • Interacts with state and Federal court clerks and personnel.
  • Drafts and prepares select case pleadings and correspondence.
  • Cite checks, blue books, and proofreads documents.
  • Tracks litigation deadlines.
  • Provides guidance on court rules and procedures.
  • Organizes and manages discovery documents in both electronic and paper formats.
  • Creates, organizes, and maintains transcript and exhibit libraries.
  • Conducts factual research, including online or other electronic searches.
  • Assists with preparation for mediation, arbitration and trial.
  • Prepares and tracks files and maintains calendars and deadlines.
  • Prepares and timely submits timekeeping reports.
  • Performs day to day general paralegal duties.
  • Work hours are Monday to Friday, 3:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. 
Skills & Competencies
  • The ideal candidates must have the ability to demonstrate professionalism to effectively deal with a wide range of responsibilities. 
  • Candidates should have strong attention to detail, strong client service skills, with excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to work well under pressure, and be able to multi-task and handle multiple priorities and set priorities while meeting deadlines. 
  • Candidates should be self-starters who can work well independently and under minimal supervision. 
  • Must also have the ability to work in an organized, efficient manner, be willing to support the department with general administrative duties and special projects as needed. 
Qualifications & Prior Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree a plus.
  • Must have a minimum of 3-4 years litigation paralegal experience and have a solid and strong, practical working knowledge of court rules and experience executing recent, regular e-filings in federal and state courts. 
  • Must be proficient in PACER, MS Word, Adobe PDF and PDA/A, Excel and Outlook. 
The expected annualized base salary range for this position is $85,000 to $100,000. Salary will be determined based upon education, experience, job related factors permitted by law, internal equity, and market data, including geographic pay differentials in locations where market pay differs from the national average. Full time employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, health insurance with an optional HSA, short term disability, long term disability, dental insurance, vision care, life insurance, Healthcare and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts, 401K, vacation, sick time, and an employee assistance program.
