The Team

We are the Mediacom Business & Tech Search & Biddable team, servicing both centrally executed campaigns in multiple languages as well as coordinating and supporting strategic directions across markets. We are a specialist division of MediaCom focused on both business to business and technology client requirements. We have 35 staff based in London.

We deliver international solutions, primarily across EMEA, but with some global influence. We also deliver UK-focused solutions for clients, especially for those clients we represent completely within the team.

The team is comprised of a range of client managers, planners, buyers, ad ops and analysts, and has a heavy digital focus. We are relatively self-sufficient on that basis, and can deliver digital solutions from Search to Programmatic to Social. Clients within this division include Dell, Alienware, Symantec, Dun & Bradstreet, EY and more. This team also provides B2B & Technology guidance for broader agency pitches and strategic advice to clients looking to extend beyond B2C targeting.

We are looking for a Paid Search Senior Planner Buyer to come and join the growing Execution team based here in London. The right candidate will effectively run the planning and activation of paid search, GDN and YouTube campaigns, while also developing their understanding of the wider connected digital landscape, including Programmatic and Social. The Paid Search SPB will report into the Paid Search Manager, directly supported by a digital executive and Planner Buyer, with the potential for this to grow in future. The Role

We are looking for an experienced Search specialist with a proven track record, relevant exposure across other digital channels, and strong client handling expertise. This person will use their foundational skills to enhance the processes and best practices for the creation, technical set-up and execution of Paid Search campaigns. They will be responsible for delivery of Paid Search and associated biddable media campaigns (YouTube, GDN), working with junior team members to meet KPIs. They will confidently lead planning and execution strategies, playing a key role in the delivery of insight, performance data and learnings directly to the client.

More specifically the Paid Search Senior Planner Buyer will:

• Oversee the day to day activation and management of Paid Search campaigns, meeting target KPIs and spend levels
• Work with the Manager to identify and lead new opportunities for campaigns
• Demonstrate confidence and clarity in communicating with the team, clients and media owners
• Develop knowledge and understanding of other Mediacom departments/services
• Have an advanced understanding of the role of Paid Search in the digital mix
• Identify new initiatives and opportunities on client accounts, for example, the testing of new betas or technologies for campaign improvements
• Improve knowledge of client business to ensure greater appreciation of Paid Search delivery in the overall mix
• Keep abreast of any developments in the Paid Search market
• Gain and develop experience in other media, such as Paid Search and Programmatic
• Build strong partnerships with preferred third-party technology vendors to ensure up-to-date knowledge of product roadmaps and beta test opportunities
• Contribute to the preparation of review presentations & reports for our clients and deliver these clearly and confidently
• Work closely with the Digital Exec to ensure timely delivery of campaigns
• Work with the Paid Search Manager and Digital Associate Director to understand team processes and support their implementation
• Undertake on-the-job training, workshops, and internal/external training sessions to develop both Search specialist skills and professional skills (e.g. presentation skills)

Skills, Behaviours and Experience Required

• A true passion for digital media
• A demonstrated track record of managing large clients
• Proven experience working with digital brands, planning and buying media campaigns including extensive use of Paid Search
• Proven experience of having managed successful campaigns across Google and Bing, with YouTube and GDN knowledge highly desirable
• A sound working understanding of bid management tools
• Commercially minded, understanding the practical delivery of services in line with client objectives, service level agreements and terms of business.
• Highly analytical with a honed ability to problem-solve
• Ability to hold their own and deliver insights in conversations with senior stakeholders
• Proven ability to manage multiple deliverables
• Strong attention to detail with a desire to improve processes and drive team efficiency
