The Team

The role sits within the Connect team at MediaCom who are a multi-media implementation planning team. Connect work closely with the Communications Planning team who own the client relationship and develop the audience insight and strategic planning work. Connect also work closely with Investment, the commercial team at MediaCom (responsible for buying / negotiation & audits) ensuring that we are delivering against the commercial requirements for clients.

As part of the Digital team, you will be a vital part of the system thinking at the agency which leads our planning process. Understanding and developing Digital and the latest technologies is fundamental to us delivering brilliant work for our clients and is behind much of our award winning work.

The Role


The Digital Manager is the most valuable role on our clients business. Managers are the conduit between long-term strategy and implementation across all digital channels. Their job is to use Insight derived from data across all sources and create integrated digital plans that not only exceed client expectations but deliver on the KPI’s our clients set.

We are our clients partners in cutting through complexity in digital to deliver solutions that can meet any requirement, from driving more sales to understanding what a long-term content strategy should be and the digital manager is the central cog to making true integration of this a reality. They should not only be capable as a 360 digital media expert across Display, Search and Social but also can translate, connect and advise on broader digital themes such as Data Strategy, Creative/Content, Partnerships and eventually, E-Commerce.

Skills, Behaviours and Experience Required

  • We are looking for a passionate, enthusiastic Digital planner who has had 5-6 years’ experience.
  • We are looking for someone passionate about the opportunities that come from Digital, data and technology.
  • They will be eager to find insights to inform and back up their planning recommendations and proactively seek out learning opportunities to further develop their thinking. 
  • 360 digital channels understanding (Search, Social, Display)
  • Strategic digital skills
  • Strong attention to detail and proactivity
  • Ability to challenge and inspire clients
  • Knowledge of digital platforms (e.g. DCM, Adwords, etc)
  • Ability to extract and filter relevant insights/ research to support planning decisions
  • Ability to make sense of large, complex data set
  • Good communicator
  • Natural curiosity
  • Genuine interest in industry research and new ways of working
  • Strives to deliver award winning work and industry leading innovation
  • Good presentation skills
  • Media buying experience
  • Trafficking experience
